THE MOPH WOMEN VETERANS Program was created in 2013 as a way to recognize, unite and advocate for our female combat-wounded veterans and the issues that they value. To accomplish these goals, the Director of Women Veterans Issues, an appointed position by the National Commander, sends monthly email communications to female MOPH members. The goal of these email blasts is to build a community among our female membership and unite our women together based on their common bonds of military service and sacrifice. In addition to uniting our female membership, the Director of Women Veterans Issues is always seeking to increase our membership by reaching out to more combat wounded women and encouraging them to join MOPH.

The Director of Women Veterans Issues actively engages in outreach as a means of advocating on behalf of our membership. Frequently, the Director of Women Veterans Issues speaks across the country and writes articles on issues affecting women veterans. As another means of outreach, MOPH maintains a website dedicated to our Women Veterans Program, which contains current information on topics like VA health care, homelessness, employment opportunities and educational benefits relevant to female veterans. Through the Women Veterans Program, female veterans in need are able to reach out to MOPH for assistance by contacting the Director of Women Veterans Issues who can provide helpful contacts and information to assist the veterans.

The Women Veterans Program is always looking for ways to better serve our female members and female veterans in general, so the Director of Women Veterans Issues welcomes any information concerning upcoming events or helpful resources for the female veteran community.
